His service is much more than just driver. We can’t imagine such amazing trip without him. He helped to make our plan more efficiently before travel and also booked safari and spa and so on, so that we can get service with local prices. His knowledge to sightseeing spots and history about Sri Lanka is also high level, therefore we could learn a lot about Sri Lanka and enjoyed with history. He truly has no hiding cost.

Great trip, made the most of our 7 days

We had a fantastic 7 days around Sri Lanka with our driver Upul. The booking was arranged through Sri Lanka Car and Driver Hore website. Once reading the reviews of the drivers we selected Upul. We were very happy to have a comfortable car and a very friendly and helpful driver. Upul gave us some great suggestions and also arranged the safari for us in Yala. He and Suresh were able to arrange if we wanted to catch the train from Kandy to Ella, however we opted to go in the car and had the best time ever! It was much more comfortable than a packed train. We were able to visit a tea factory and stopped at a number of different places along the way as we wanted to try the local fruits. My husband was very interested in the rubber farms so Upul also stopped for us to have a look at a farm.

Great 9 days in Sri Lanka

We had an amazing time in Sri Lanka with Upul. We already had a plan before the trip, but Upul managed to optimize it perfectly. He helped us buy tickets and arranged much better prices for our accommodation than we could find ourselves. He is a very comfortable and safe driver, and he was always on time. Although there was a slight English language barrier at times, it was never an issue. He is very experienced and knows the whole island well. He will help you enjoy a pleasant, worry-free vacation.

Amazing family trip with Suresh!

We are a danish family with two small kids (10 months and 2,5 years old). We traveled around on Sri Lanka for two weeks and with Suresh as our driver. He was extremely service minded, kind, and good with our kids as well. We felt very safe and well taken care of throughout the whole journey - which was very important for us, when traveling with our small kids. Here's some highlights from our experience with Suresh: - We had two strollers that broke during our flight transport - Suresh managed to fix both of them for us. He charged nothing, and didn't ask for anything. - He had arranged child car seats for both our children. - The car was cleaned every day (which is nice when traveling with two small kids) - There was always fresh water available in the car. - He was always on time and nearby to drive or to help out. - He showed us the island and guided us. - He helped us book things like Safaris, Train tickets etc.. In short, we would highly recommend Suresh to anybody who want an experienced, professional and service minded driver in Sri Lanka.

A trip around Sri Lanka in May 2026

We had an excellent experience travelling around Sri Lanka with Suresh (New Travel) and our driver Upul. The entire trip was smooth, comfortable, and very well coordinated from airport pickup to all transfers between Bentota, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, and Colombo. Upul was always punctual, drove very safely, and maintained a calm and professional attitude throughout the journey. Exelent tour with Suresh

Our family had an amazing eleven days tour with Suresh. He is friendly, punktual, polite and reliable. Nothing was too much trouble for him. It was easy to leave our luggage and other belongings in his van when we have actvities on the way from one place to another. He drove safely and was available whenever we needed anything. Our son had an eye infection and Suresh organize us to the good eye doctor smoothly. We visited Negombo-Sigiriya-Kandy-Kitulgala-Hatton-Ohiya-Udawalawe and ended to Dickwella. I had booked accommondations beforehand but Suresh contacted them and made our travel smooth and relaxing. On the way he suggests different atractions and let us chose if we were interested in. He also helped us organize activites I asked eg. down hill biking and amazing rafting in Kitulgala. For example in Ohiya he drove us in the beginning of the Devil's Staircase hiking route and pick us up near Bambarakanda waterfall. He helped us to fulfill the wild ideas we had. After our tour with him when our flight was cancelled because of the Middle East war, he kindly and unselfishly organized to us an accommodation, transportation and even asked us eat with his family.…

Wonderful tour of Sri Lanka with New Travel!

Suresh and Manjula did an excellent job organizing my tour of Sri Lanka for 9 days. They were very flexible and understanding. Manjula was a terrific driver who was considerate and always on time. The roads were chaotic and I always felt safe with him driving. He was also a joy to chat with and knowledgeable about everywhere we went. Highly recommended driver/guide

We were fortunate enough to have Suresh as our driver/guide whilst travelling around the Cultural Triangle and Hill Country in Sri Lanka. From the moment we started to make enquiries about possible drivers (which was several months ago), we got a good vibe about Suresh. He was always very quick to respond via WhatsApp and helped us refine our itinerary, making some excellent suggestions and helping us make the most of our time. His English was very good, too. Whenever we travel abroad, we usually hire a car and arrange everything ourselves. We were therefore a little unsure about how the whole driver/guide situation would work. Suresh was our driver for a week and we couldn’t have found a better driver. He was knowledgeable and explained the history of places we visited but also as we both have injured knees and can’t walk far, made sure that any trips were within our capabilities. He also arranged a wonderful safari guide whose knowledge of elephants was excellent and ability to drive the 4 wheel vehicle such fun. Suresh was so kind and helpful :bought me some balm for my knees, stopped at roadside stalls for fruit or drink. He was even kind enough to take us to his in-laws for a most delicious curry. Suresh introduced us to Sri Lanka in a wonderful way and I highly recommend him.

Upul was the highlight of our trip; he was there for us whenever we needed him. He is kind, funny, and respectful. ​Whatever you need, he’ll do his best to make it happen. He took us to places we hadn't even considered that turned out to be amazing. Also, booking activities and hotels through him always ended up being cheaper than what we found online. ​He is always ready to help and very attentive. He notices the little things—for example, if he sees you like something along the way, he stops and asks if you’d like to take photos or visit. Very helpful

We had Suresh take us around Sri Lanka for almost two weeks. He went out of his way to find the best experiences and prices for us during our trip. Nothing was too hard for him, and he was very helpful with our young kids. I’d definitely recommend him

Suresh performed way above expectations. Highly recommended! He provided very usefull suggestions and has friends all across the country that can provide nice and cost effective excursions and restaurants. Offered to get up very early (5 AM) to see the sun rise. Drove us to restaurants later at night. Was never pushy in any way. We could decide what we want and he'd agree. He also did not impose during lunch and dinner; he let us do our thing and waited until we were ready. Also Suresh knows a lot about the history of the Sri Lanka and always took the time to explain us if we had any questions. Suresh is a very kind person and a pleasure to have as a driver. He made the trip unforgettable for young and old. In our trip, we'd already booked our hotels across the country. Simply amazing!

What a holiday!! From the moment we sent an enquiry, Suresh was quick to reply to all our enquiries, giving us lots of really helpful information and tips. We arrived at the airport at 2am, all exhausted after a long journey. Suresh was kind, welcoming and put us at ease instantly. He was a brilliant driver and we always felt safe on all our travels. His car was so comfortable always offering us plenty of water and the air conditioning was perfect to cool down in the heat. Great Driver for your Sri Lankan adventure

Suresh was our driver for a week through the Sri Lankan South - Colombo Galle, Ella and Tissa. He was a great and safe driver. He looked after us - gave us plenty of suggestions on what to see and do. He looked out for us when we were out and about - stopped myself getting ripped off by a tuktuk driver, and saved my in laws after they got in trouble with the railways officials (they got given the wrong ticket). He was great company and always there when we needed him. Highly recommended and we will definitely get him again for our next trip to Sri Lanka.

He was a kind driver. Response time for queries is fast

On the way from Galle, we stopped at a hotel in Bawa (Lunuganga) and asked for a transfer to Colombo. Inquiries on Whatapp are quick to respond to, and I was relieved to receive confirmation the day before. The driver was very friendly and explained landmarks along the way. The motorway station (like the one) where I stopped for lunch was quite new, convenient, local and fun, and it was a good memory because it was definitely not something I would stop by on a tour. The price was reasonable compared to other companies and I can recommend it!

Suresh and Upul were both amazing. We had originally booked Suresh, but we had made a mistake on dates on the form, despite this Suresh still bent over backwards to help. He found us a new driver, Upul, who we were with for all 16 days of our trip. Upul was great! So friendly, great with our kids. He was a safe driver, always on time, responsive to our messages, flexible to our changing needs and helpful finding the best places to go…..can’t recommend highly enough.

I was to travel to Sri Lanka with my husband and daughter for two weeks from 10 Nov 24 to 23 Nov 24. One of the most important attributing factors for a stress free happy trip is to be traveling in a comfortable vehicle with a seasoned, english speaking, trustworthy, cautious and reliable driver. We were extremely fortunate to have Suresh driving his luxurious Nissan van with ample boot space. We were received at the Colombo Airport by Suresh, a friendly, well manned, cheerful human being. Tour in Sri Lanka with Suresh, the best tour guide and driver

I was on a solo vacation in Sri Lanka.  This vacation was amazing thanks to the views, places and food but mostly thanks to Suresh the tour guide and also the driver who took me to all the beautiful places for 7 days. I have so many good things to say about Suresh.  Here some of those things.  Suresh picked me up from the airport in Colombo at night and from there we drove for more than 3 hours to Kandy (we arrived after midnight) and all of this is just so that I won't waste the next day on the way to Kandy so I can travel in Kandy from the morning.  while travelling between the cities, we passed through beautiful villages. Suresh is an excellent guide with a lot of knowledge and an excellent driver. He was always available for me and made sure that I was fine.  He actually took care of everything, from water both in the car and during the trips, talking me to authentic restaurants, to hotels and generally for everything I asked for. He was very flexible to any changes in the trip that I adked for. Even after we finished our tour and I stayed a few days in Colombo, Suresh arranged for a driver to pick me up from the hotel to the airport.…

Suresh was just prefect, he is polite , punctual , knowledgeable and with good English. He is happy to be a tour guide and travel assistant but also takes queues from you as to what you want and not want. Suresh best driver for Sri Lanka

Suresh has been fantastic for the entire trip. He was always available for whatever we wanted to do and also gave us very nice recommendations of places to visit. He kept the van clean for the entire trip. During the trip I lost a show that that got out of the van at a gas station. Suresh contacted all the people he knew to locate my shoe and he personally delivered it to me at the airport before my flight back to Europe.

8 day tour around Sri Lanka with Suresh

Our journey together with Suresh as our driver was amazing. Suresh was not only a driver but also an excellent guide and he repeatedly suggested what was worth seeing and what was better to skip. In the meantime, he took us to a local breakfast, which was the true face of Sri Lanka. He also helped organize us a local safari. He was also a safe and reaible driver. One of extra attraction he offered was taking us to a place where turtles came to their feeding grounds. It was amazing to see these animals having a meal. We recommend Suresh as a driver and guide. A great taxi driver and guide who, in the end, becomes a friend...

We agreed with Suresh from New Travel online. We didn't know him nor had we any references. It couldn't be better because, apart from being a taxi driver, he is an exceptional guide. He answered all our questions and accompanied us to all the places during the six days we traveled from Negombo to Kandy, visiting all the obligatory and important places in the cultural triangle area. Great tour of Sri Lanka

Suresh was great. We were a family of 4 (kids aged 1 and 4). He picked us up from Colombo and over 10 days took us to Rekawa beach via Sigiriya, Kandy and Ella. Best driver in Sri Lanka

We booked Suresh from New Travel for our two week holiday around Sri Lanka. We had a rough itinerary planned and he helped us build it out; adding several hidden gems and arranging some amazing local tour guides. He had fantastic knowledge of the country’s history and best places to visit. Travelling with Suresh was such a fantastic experience - his van was super comfortable and practical (big seats that can fold down if you want to put your legs up, air conditioning, phone charger, WiFi and daily water bottles). 2days trip with great driver

Although It was only two days, my driver did a fantastic job. He suggested all the options we can choose. Before I went to Sri Lanka I gave up on going to Candy, but he managed our time well and we were able to go. And also, I asked him about local restaurants and he found them. He gave us a lot of help also in the supermarket. He always arrived on time, even faster. I had an amazing experience during my trip to Sri Lanka.

The vacation on Sri Lanka was one of the best vacations I had the opportunity to experience. We had an incredible time there, Thanks to Suresh and New travel. After 15 days on Sri Lanka, we fell in love with all the beauties of the country, nature, animals, ocean, beaches, tea and especially with the local people, who are incredibly friendly, smiling and nice. Suresh is one of the best. He made a beautiful holiday even more beautiful. He showed us the real Sri Lanka even outside the tourist attractions. Thank you very much for that. We will definitely return back at some point in the future.

Great holiday

We were 2 couples and had no idea what to expect from Sri Lanka. Suresh helped us to make really amazing plan. 1week we went through the midle part and second week we went to the southern part. Suresh is extremely helpful and friendly person. Always helped us with everything (shoping, booking hotels, never let anyone to do something wrong to us, helped us to get right prices). He is the type of person, we wanted to spend as much time as we could together with him. Also he was able to secure some really unusual experiences.

One Week Tour of Central Sri Lanka with Chami

We had a great week with our driver Chami. We could decide on everything we wanted to do and where to go. Chami is an experienced and safe driver. He had the best suggestions on things to do and places to go. We enjoyed our journey and would recommend it.

I traveled to Sri Lanka with a group of friends from Australia and Romania and Malik and his friend were our tour drivers. They looked after us so well and organised our accomodation and tours. Could not have wished for better!

Because of the fuel crisis we decided to take a driver to travel through Sri Lanka. From te first moment of contact Malik was kind and had this positive laid back vibe! Very relaxed and just what we were looking fore, since we just wanted to make our own plans. We traveled with him for the last 2,5 weeks and he made our trip more memorable! He was always punctual, patient and kind. Not forcing anything and always offered a helping hand when needed. We had the most fun with him and occasional laughs and inside jokes 😊 Could not have wished for a better driver and travel company! We would 100% recommend to anyone traveling to Sri Lanka.

8 day tour

Sri Lanka Tour- July, 2022 Perfect and Reliable driver to explore Sri Lanka We visited Sri Lanka in July, 2022 in the middle of the political and economic crisis to attend a wedding in Galle. We were really concerned about this trip but Malik was super helpful from the time I messaged him on messenger until the last day of our trip when we were dropped back at the Colombo International Airport. We covered Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella and Galle in 8 days and it was only possible due to Malik's exceptional driving and recommendations for places to visit and eat at. I also faced an unexpected back pain in the trip and Malik very kindly took us to the hospitals and managed the appointment on my behalf in Ella and then Galle. Malik is super organised, punctual, well spoken, fluent in English, and an exceptional driver. We could not have expected a better trip given the circumstances. I would also like to point out that Malik was super responsive the whole time before and after our trip and kept us updated about the ongoing situation. We also rode with Suresh for our journey back to the Colombo Airport and that was an equally comfortable ride.…

Great family trip!

We visited Sri Lanka during the fuel situation and were a bit concerned about how our trip would be. Having Sureesh as driver was the best decision because from the first moment we felt we were in good hands. He was super helpful, patient with our kids and always willing to take us wherever we wanted to. He drove us during 6 days and we learnt a lot about Sri Lanka. We will definitely recommend him.

Amazing Tour and tour guide

After 2 years of being stuck in Singapore due to the pandemic, I was so eager to travel again. I’m looking through different Asian countries that I have never been to before. And at that exact moment, Sri Lanka stood up. I have tons of questions. Is it safe? Is it worth it to visit? What if nobody wants to go with me? The perfect driver to discover Sri Lanka

We spent almost 2 weeks in Sri Lanka with my husband and our 17 months baby boy. Suresh was our perfect driver. He guides you all around the country, proposing different activities and explaining about Sri Lanka’s culture and history. He drives super safe and he is kind and discreet. Amazing tour guide/driver in Sri Lanka!

We stayed two weeks in Sri Lanka and Suresh was our amazing driver. He's not only a driver, he loves to explain about the history and traditions of his country, and loves to make his clients experience the real, local way. He's a complete 'YES MAN' and always happy to help and find solutions, and always going the extra mile for us. He even invited me and my boyfriend to his wedding and we met all his friends and family! Very much recommended driver

Highly recommended driver. It was a very nice drive from Tangalle to the airport. He recommended us a super nice restaurant at a friend's place, which was an amazing experience, he is a safe, good driver and also very disciplined in following the rules with Corona. He for example regularly cleaned his hands and was constantly wearing the mask. Also the price was very fair.

One week in Sri Lanka

The days in Sri Lanka with Malik have been amazing. He is a very kind, funny and honest person. Thank you so much for making this trip so easy and relaxed for us! We had no time for planing th trip at home (in advance), but this was no problem as Malik gave us a great plan with all the highlights. Also he chose nice restaurants and accomodations. Great experience

Our driver was Suresh and we enjoyed our travels with him very much. He really wanted us to have a local experience and arranged a home-cooked meal and a cooking class for us with his friend's family. We enjoyed it so much, we ate there three times. There was never any pressure to go anywhere, as you often find with other drivers. Suresh was a good driver, a fun guy, and a very kind and generous person who will go out of his way to make sure you are having a good and comfortable time. We highly recommend him! Travelling Sri Lanka at it’s best

What an experience we all just had in Sri Lanka! It could not have beenanywhere near as enjoyable, safe and seamless without our extraordinary guide Malik. My family cannot thank him enough for his gentle nature, genuine care and amazing knowledge of his country. His support team of driver Kusan and assistant Tissa were excellent. At no time did any of us feel unsafe on the road and we arrived everywhere on time. A wonderful 2 weeks!

This is how you travel Sri Lanka

We arrived in Sri Lanka unsure of what to expect. Malik met us at the airport and from that moment everything was just perfect. Malik (tour guide) was very easy going, informative and punctual. He was great with our kids too, knowing when they needed a rest and adjusting any activity as needed. I also have to point out our driver, Kasun. His driving was so good. With precious cargo on board his bus, we always felt completely safe in his hands. We also had an assistant with us, Tissa, who endured the bus could navigate some tricky u-turns and traffic jams. A great help. Overall, I would recommend to anyone traveling in SriLanka, whether for a few weeks like us or even for a day trip, to use New Travel ( and ask for Malik if he is available) Thanks and Ayubowan 👍

3 families from Australia - 6 adults and 9 kids (Ranging from 13-2 year olds), hired a Mini bus for just over 2 weeks. We had: Driver-Kasun... was safe, efficient, polite, Assistant-Tissa... made sure the luggage was all on, bus was clean and air conditioned, the kids were safe on and off the mini bus, water was always in the fridge etc Guide - Malik ... BEST IN THE BUSINESS. Spoke excellent English, knew exactly where to go and take us for meals (and where not to go), supermarkets, laundry etc wherever we were in Sri Lanka. Extremely polite, great nature, knowledgeable, committed, great with the children.... Overall, Malik and his team made our trip seamless and I’d highly recommend him when going to Sri Lanka.

Excellent driver, amazing experience!

I have spent 2.5 weeks with two friends in Sri Lanka with Sam as our driver. I highly recommendate him and the company, from the beginning he has been very friendly and close with us, helping us with any questions we have, showing the best places and restaurants( we tried and amazing rice and curry thanks to him), hearing and accepting our propositions for changing the plan( he woke up at 4.30 to carry us to Horton National Park!). The best guide. Part of our family

My family and I recently traveled to Sri Lanka for 2.5 weeks. We had a recommendation from a friend that we should use Malik from New Travel. We are forever thankful that we had the pleasure of having Malik become part of our family as we enjoyed our wonderful holiday driving throughout the most beautiful of countries. We communicated via WhatsApp regularly before our trip whether it be us asking random questions about packing suggestions to planning the itinerary and tours. Maliks english is perfect, but he also has many tours running from Spain, China and all over the world. He says he has become a master of using google translate. Amazing Trip organizer

Wow factor should be first . They treat you like family. Care is the most. All the places they know so no need to worry on GPS. Guided to all the factories or restaurants or anything. I am lucky to be with this company. Felt as if I am escorted in everything. Great experience would highly recommend.
